A quick heads up, Paul at PSR Automotive (www.psrautomotive.com) is having a coffee and bacon rolls morning at his premises near Bishops Stortford/Stansted Airport on Sunday 22nd November at 9am.

I've been a customer of PSR for many years and can whole heartedly recommend his work and honest approach.

All are welcome, please fill in the form below so that Paul can get an idea of numbers.

I tried very very hard to have him work on two of my Porsches. I understand that he was in the process of sorting out the crap from his sorry tale of moving premises, but to get back to me 3 months after I contacted him just isn't good customer service.

I'm also told he has moved into some barns around Furneux Pelham. I'd not classify that as near Stansted Airport....

Note that Ross Brawn is at JD Classics that day, that might limit numbers?

Thank you Martin for sharing this, sorry to all for the short notice.

@Rubystone- I have just joined the forum after seeing your post. I am sure you have made other arrangements but I would like to say I am sorry that I have let you down regarding customer service. My circumstances over the last year have been extreme but I will not bore you with these details (Although happy to should you wish to know)

Unfortunately customer service has deteriorated but it is something I am trying to improve daily. I am much more hands on now and as a result I am unable to keep submerged in customer enquiries. The Company is still evolving into its new “normal” which at this stage I am still trying to find myself.

The whole intention of this Coffee and Bacon is to say sorry to both our existing customers (who have struggled with us through the last 12months) and people like yourself that I have let down. Since I opened the garage in 2008 I have never had a day without work, I am always booked in advance. The business grew fast and it took me with it, although this change has been forced upon me I am taking a positive out of this and effectively going back to enjoying my work and being able to see my daughter grow up instead of becoming more and more detached from my core work and love as my role became more and more management based (which is undoubtedly natural progression but the company is much more to me than work)

With regards to location, I pick cars up daily from Stansted/ Stansted Airport- In fact a DB9 was collected from there today so logistically our location shouldn’t effect your service you receive (however I appreciate that enquiries must first be dealt with in a reasonable time frame which obviously 3 months is not)

In short, I apologise for letting you down, hopefully you can enjoy a bacon roll and coffee on us.

Just to add also...

There is no sales talk here, your all very welcome to come over first thing, enjoy a Coffee and a Bacon roll and then drive onto JD Classics or elsewhere. The facilities are considerably more modest then previous and this is not “look at us and what we are doing” its a “Nice to see you and as above sorry for dropping off the radar for 12months- Enjoy a Coffee and Bacon Roll with similar minded people”

Hope this helps.

I was a customer of Paul's several years ago when I had my VX220. I can echo the comments about his honesty, integrity and hard work - top notch. There were times when I thought his passion for the cars overrode his commercial best interests, but I'd call that a positive (at least for the customer).

Yes, it can be infuriating dealing with small indys - they have to answer the phone, deal with suppliers, be the receptionist, do the paperwork, and find time to do some work on the cars. Not to mention having a bit of a life outside the garage. That means sometimes they don't answer your calls, they forget things or it takes longer to get the car back than you were hoping. I've suffered all that.

But its a free market. If those inconveniences outweigh the quality of the work and the (usually) lower prices than you'd pay at a main dealer, you should go elsewhere.

I can't make the 22nd Paul. But hope to see you again another time, and good luck with the new chapter in the PSR story.

Hi Paul, Hoping to get along on the day in the Cob, weather permitting. Sorry I haven't been along to you for a while now. Looking at your postings it seems like you need a Business Development Manager to take the business to the next level and allow you to carry out doing the things you're best at and enjoy. Looking at the way that Martin O already promotes you, I think this could be a marriage made in heaven!! Food for thought

Ironically, I offered my services to Paul back in February to do just this. His location in the middle of Stortford and his reputation was the perfect base to offer car sales and promote the business. I guess his adventures with moving premises meant he couldn't focus on my offer?
