I have been so confused with all kinds of differing advice from the 'experts'.

My initial want was for a genuine Garrett GTX3582r.
People said it would be too small for a V8 but after seeing Macs amazing result of 573 bhp and 600lb/ft i am now confident the GTX will give me the power i am looking for.

A few differences on spec.
I have ordered it with an undivided T4 1.06 A/R housing and a 3" V band.

Lets see how this performs with the ACR 5.0 with new Wildcat heads and a solid cam on Rolands dyno.
The engine will be completed top to bottom then mapped on the dyno before it goes in the car.
Dale at Bailey Performance will then check the set up on his rollers and make any necessary tweaks.

Wildcat heads and a turbo - nice!

What kind of inlet are you going for? I presume you need a plenum for the Turbo to feed or are you going for a custom job with throttle bodies?

Roland wants to create a bespoke inlet but thats far too expensive. As the ported standard inlet and 72mm plenum work fine on Macs car with Eanns turbo kit then i am hoping we can modify/ make fit my stuff.
I will be visiting Eann with the turbo next week and also visiting ACR to drop off my exhaust manifolds and pick up the old Rover heads and other bits now not required. So further discussions and decisions still to make.

I was under the impression that the inlet ports are positioned differently on Wildcat heads and the standard rover inlet manifold would not work? I could be wrong on that, only what I was told when I looked into them.

When i say modify or make fit it could be quite extensive but not to the point of a bespoke fabricated item.

Although something like this would be nice....

I just love those Wildcat heads and throttle bodies, they look epic.

Be sure to start a build thread and keep it updated Derek, I am sure I am not the only one who can't wait to hear more about this project.

Thanks - a lot of work went into making the aeroquip fuel supply and not to mention the custom 4 into 1 exhaust headers and if its not evident the turbo is just there as a bit of a laugh.. just one I had lying around.

The standard RV8 inlet manifold is not great. Check out some cross section analysis pictures to see for yourself.

I have the Wildcat adaptor plates for the standard manifold but when I tried then they leaked like crazy .. so I just went the TB route. You can see the back of the valves they are so straight.
