Larger oil cooler in side pod

Is anyone running a larger oil cooler in the side pod and if so what are you using and any pics?

I have the standard oil cooler. I would add fan first and I think that would do the job. I have not had oil temperature issues.

I already have a fan but it has to run all the time.

I wouldn't say I have an oil temp issue but that the margin could be improved.

....and are you 100% certain that the gauge is accurate? Some time measuring temps with an IR thermometer might save a lot of hassle/work!

I think it would be nice to get a consensus here as to "normal" oil temps,
Personally I keep sump temps to >100° <120° more than 100° so as to "boil off" any condensation in the engine and less than 120° to reduce oxidation of the oil, I know synthetics are good to 140°-150° and for track use temps will get higher than on road, just wondering what others experience.

Will have to look out my Vizard books as I'm sure he advocates even higher oil temps than that.

Knowledge is power.
Knowing the temperature of something you are concerned is too hot has to be where you start.
It is why I measure fuel temperature.

I'm sure your right I've seen 140°+ on a turbo Duratec V6 with no apparent problems.
