Watched the live version on Sky Arts last night. Some great performances (and necessary ad libbing for the completely bawdy audience!)

Just reinforces what an inspired creation the whole thing is. OK, so like almost every musical, the music itself is nothing classic, but what an enjoyable romp.

And again! Something else I've spotted which is (over) 40 years old

Anyone else a fan?

I've been to see it a few times many years ago (the first time I hadn't a clue what it was all about) though I didn't do the audience dressing up that many did, it was a fantastic atmosphere. I've watched the film many times since, even had a cassette tape of the songs way back when.

I read that there is a remake of it being planned, can't remember who is going to be in it though. I was also saddened to read that Tim Curry had a stroke a few years ago and has to get about in a wheelchair (probably not good taste to suggest he could still play the role of the Doctor Everett Scott though...).

Seen it a few times in the late 80's early 90's.

First time we went one of the lads at college organized the tickets. So about 8 of us all turned up at the pub, 6 not dressed up, and the organizer and another lad dressed up. So we then headed over to the Blackpool Grand Theatre to take our seats. It was only as he handed the tickets out that we realised that he had got front row seats. I've never felt so underdressed in my life. Every one around us was dressed up apart from us 6 plonkers on the front row.
