New battery, registering new type with ncsexpert - E60 M5
Discussion
I've recently changed my battery and registered it using DIS.
The old one was an Exide 110ah lead-acid - new one is Bosch 110ah/900cca lead-acid
DIS said the configured battery is an 90ah AGM .
I've tried using NCSEXPERT to change the battery type - however, neither of the 'MS S85' engine types will load without an error.
It allows me to use a different MS engine type, which will then let me change the battery type to -B110 from the previous (-A90?) type and then appears to write correctly to the 2 ECU (CAS & LMA).
Going back into DIS, it still tells me the registered battery is an AGM 90ah.
I've also tried using INPA to re-register the change, but results are the same.
This was all done using cable and software from BM Cables.
Car is an E60 M5 03/2005 build.
The only issue I can see is not using the S85 engine type, but when I do the code read in NCSEXPERT, it shows the '-B110' is there.
Any pointers?
TIA - Simon
