Land Rover valuation
Discussion
I tried this in general gassing but not much response...
I'm moving workshop in the next few days but the workshop I'm ment to be moving into still has the previous tenants land rover in.
Its a lwb series 3 with a safari top which was driven in a bout a year ago. Since then I watched the lad who owns it take the odd bit off and clean and paint it. He's also removed the original engine but has a 200tdi good engine ready to go in.
Unfortunately he also removed the front crossmember as he was going to fit power steering so it currently doesn't have any steering.
It generally look pretty ratty but the chassis appears sound, so whats it worth?
thanks
Dan

So, basically, it's an immobile project with an unknown number of bits missing...I'm moving workshop in the next few days but the workshop I'm ment to be moving into still has the previous tenants land rover in.

Chassis and bulkhead condition is vital - and whether it has a V5C or not, since old Landies are VERY nickable. Sub grand, at a guess, though. I bought a complete, tidy, running s3 SWB last year for a grand and a half, in need of a brake once-over and a good service.
