Hi,

My Premium Audio System in my 56 V8 Vantage has been working fine, I did 4 hours of driving on Sunday and it was normal. Today after taking it to Stratstone it all went very very funny.

I forgot to turn off the Dension before handing it in, so maybe that might be the issue or cause of it?

After driving away from Stratstone the Radio kept resetting, it would be on for a few mins before resetting. The Dension and normal CD (when Dension was switched) would not work.

After getting home I reset the Dension. This seems to have cured the Radio resetting, but now the CD player nor Dension appear to work.

I also hooked up a jump start battery pack to the jumping point just to make sure that the battery wasn't the cause.

Any ideas what might be the solution to kick it back in to life?

Thanks

Sump

If you have access to the dension module I would make sure the tabs numbered 1,4 and 6 are in the up position and the others down.

May I offer that it should be 2 and 4 up only with everything else down. This sets it to Volvo II setting.

However I find it odd that it was working happily before hand and now is giving grief. Would you like to give me a call tomorrow and I can talk through some options and see if a solution can be found. They are normally very reliable.

All the best,

James

Pulled the carpet back to find a very neatly installed Dension unit. It had a Paralight sticker on it, so clearly the previous owner was a discerning gentleman.

I followed James' advice that he gave me. Unplugged, blew, replugged.

It seemed to solve the problem, it has stopped resetting. Great stuff! It will be a few weeks till I give the car a long drive but hopefully the gremlin has disappeared.

Many thanks James and Sump
