Chaps, anyone have an online invoicing system you can recommend, or a web based company that can do this?

Pretty simple stuff - it is for fees for a nursery school, monthly invoices for parents depending on hours spent there by each child etc. But regular billing and ease of use are a must.

Better still is a system that also helps chasing late payments.

Tips appreciated.

Have you looked at " Go Cardless". I use this one for my online marketing agency, works great. Can set up direct debits etc with regular repeat clients and also one off invoices. In regards to chasing payments this just sends out a email to the client reminding them of the invoice. As I said works great for me it might be something you could have a look at.

Freshbooks.

Sets up accounts, allows repeat billing, and will even link up to payment gateway's for people to pay from the invoice.

Also will send reminders etc.

ETA - will also hook into Xero or Kashlow if you use these for your accounts.

Xero (https://www.xero.com/uk/) works pretty well for generating invoices. It has an API as well so it's possible to integrate it with your own IT systems if needed.

Are you aware that their cloud service doesn't conform to UK Data Protection Laws? This was a key factor which was established whilst evaluating which systems we wanted to opt for.

Use Xero

Lots of plugins make book keeping a breeze. I personally would be putting parents on direct debit - I would need to dig for the company I use. As someone has said above Go Cardless is pretty good though.
