B7 A4 1.9 TDI's

Looking at a few of these for a mate who wants a £5k ish A4 diesel.

I've told him he is not aloud a 2.0 if I have to look after it and 1.9's are the only way.

Does anyone know it they made these in 6 speed, or is it only 5.

I'm 99% sure they didnt but just wondered if anyone had every seen one of the very late 1.9 with 6 speed.

Not in an A4 although some transverse engined models got a 6.

Have you suggested a Seat Exeo to him? Same car but with a CR diesel and cheap cheap.

Yep tried that, He wants an Audi.

If he's listening to any of your advice sway him to a CR engined car. It's easily £1000 better than a billy basic B7.
