That most useful of tools. Handy for turning the engine to set tappets, points etc and I've often started Morris Minors with one when the dynamo has been a bit weak. What was the last car sold with one though? Series 3 Land Rover I expect. Anything later?

Think it was probably the 2CV.

Don't think it'll have changed much since last year : http://www.pistonheads.com/gassing/topic.asp?t=140...

I think this yes

My Lomax is based on a 1981 CV and that has a starting handle.

Lada Niva definitely had one and is still in production

IIRC, all Ladas had them, until the Riva came along (1985?)

I think 2CV as well. I had one for years and it was handy for really cold mornings, the only drawback being that you need the bonnet open to use the handle. I also had a Rover P4 110, and the handle was virtually useless as once I'd overhauled the cylinder head there was so much compression I could hardly turn it let alone swing it sharply enough to start!

Why do you think that as opposed to the Lada Niva? Doesn't the 2CV lose out by over 20 years?
