duratec r300 upgrade
Discussion
I have read a few articles that point towards the independents doing a far better job. Give a couple of the well known ones ( with a proper machine shop ) and get a price that you can compare to what C are offering. Whether its bolt on bits or internal engine fettling I would 100% go to a trusted indy
It is relatively straight forward to do, and possibly cheaper, if you have an unlocked ECU.
If not, and I suspect that will be the case, it is a specialist job to reuse Caterham ECU. The alternative is to replace the ECU and do a mapping session that'll make the Caterham kit look like a bargain.

Coming from a sigma owner, I can think of no reason why you wouldn't do that. £1400 for +25bhp seems like a deal to me, especially as you'll retain an 'original' caterham.
The sigma doesn't have any official upgrade paths available and going to a respected independent would result in a bill somewhere in the region of 5-6k for such an increase!
Edit..
Interesting that the parts site lists two different 175 - 200 upgrades. The one you list at £1440 with cams, injectors and ECU and another at £2200 with throttle bodies and injectors. I suspect the second one may be K series though as it doesn't say specifically.
