I am resolved to love all lawyers except the ones that are right grumpy s, and the ones that appear on TV shows. Oh, and Lord Harley of Charley Farley. He can FRO. Also Martha Costello. She is well annoying, but is saved from big hateage by not existing.

You can tell it's Friday afternoon. BV has been at the claret already.......! wink

No-one loves a litigation lawyer. It's a well-known fact. Sniff.

Cicero. He can do one. Others, not so bad. OK, except for Robespierre, Lenin and Nixon. Dicks. That lawyer on Seinfeld, he's alright.

How about Norman ("Larry") Lamb?

I know one lawyer who introduces themselves as "Mr fking grumpy" on conference calls, that said I think BV and he would get on well in the real World. Neither have much time or capacity for fools.

Who TF is Norman Lamb?

World's greatest living lawyer? Barry Shreck, maybe, or Clive Stafford Smith. Those dudes save lives and right wrongs. Shreck was on the OJ team as well, and conducted a devastating cross examination of Detective Furman, but most of what Shreck does is for innocent guys.

Amal Clooney is a smart cookie as a lot of her work is pro bono, so even if she is George's beard, that is cool, because he funds her cases, and she also gets shoes as a bonus. I am not being sexist. There is nowt wrong with liking shoes, and she's good at her job.

My own personal legal hero is Naina Patel of my chambers, who went out to Helmand Province in a flak jacket and taught Afghan women to be Judges in village Courts.

No offense but I always had you marked up as more of a 'Jerry "Hands" Espenson' type of a fellow rather than the Alan Shore or subliminal Denny Crane.

Still, it's Friday, let's go all have some fun drink

Such a shame the Afghan thing was a waste of time, admirable as it was!

As an ex military bloke who had rockets incoming and thinking we'd achieved something, it's sickening to see what's happening now over there... frown
