Hi Guys

Car goes into AV Classics for a refresh tomorrow, having the rear arches resprayed. I was hoping someone has some advice on the paint protection film that goes over the sill. Are there any reasonably priced kits available? I've seen some self healing film on the web, is there a template available?

Thanks in advance.

Hi Huggy - I had my wheel arches resprayed a couple of months ago and after they were done went to http://www.auto-protek.com, they put the clear film on the bottom panels on each side. They use a product called Xpel.

I can't remember how much but I don't think it was anymore that £250?! Well worth doing in my opinion.

This film is not the easiest to work with. My best advice is to get it professionally fitted. It'll be a lot better in the long run.
Look at xpel and similar films.
Pick somewhere that doesn't cut it on the car or that uses cutting tape.
