PH emails and hotmail
Discussion
For a good 6 - 12 months I've had a problem with outlook.com junking any emails from PH members sent through the PH mail system.
I could ask to change my email on here but, frankly, don't see why I should. It's a hotmail.com addy which I normally read using Thunderbird. It's been driving me nuts having to log into outlook every few days to "save" missing messages before they're auto deleted.
Not only that, "smart" screen doesn't seem to be all that smart in the first place. According to them, penis enlargement and Nigerians with unexpected inheritances I can read about, PH queries I can't.
Finally yesterday, after quite a few attempts at sorting it, I came across this, which might help anyone else in the same situation:
Log into outlook.com and select manage rules from the settings. Creat two new rules for incoming mail. One should be attachments, email with attachments, send to inbox. The other should be attachments, email without attachments, send to inbox.
It does mean that M$ will no longer be filtering any junk for you - so watch those unexpected attachments - but their filtering seems to be all over the place anyway.

I really don't think it's a PH issue, Ollie. Reading around it seems that Smart Screen blocks stuff from all sorts of sources, including some reports of it junking mail from Microsoft themselves!
Would have deserted it by now but I've had that hotmail account since before MS owned it so I've grown a soft spot for it!
