V6 viscous fan question
Discussion
The M6 bolts on the fan hold the fan to the viscous hub.
The M8 bolts on the pulley hold the pulley onto the waterpump flange.
You need a large spanner on the square flats just behind the viscous hub that will hold the pump shaft then undo the viscous hub and fan as an assembly, the viscous hub (of that style) screws directly onto the waterpump shaft.

Chris, the shaft behind the 32mm nut is round, no flats on it. I can get a spanner on that nut but the fan assembly just rotates so what else am I turning?
They make a wrench (spanner) for this purpose.I would thjink your local repair guy has one, get him to take it off for you, you can drive home with no fan if you have no traffic lights and the rad cowling in in place.
