Just chopped my day one in for one, cut my losses and upgraded after already having the drive replaced and the controller is pretty bad quality and creaky!

Will update with the effectiveness of the "Hybrid SSD" soon when I've sorted it out! smile

Anybody else grabbed one yet?

Had one preordered but cancelled it.

Having looked into it, it just didn't seem worth trading up to one. The only thing worthwhile about it (IMO) is the Elite Controller, which is fantastic!

Local GAME store will beat all local trade in's by £1, and CEX usually offer much more.

Ended up getting £271 for day one with Kinect and Halo 5. Not too bad!

That's an amazing price for a 2 year old console

Yeah, I know.

Still really didn't seem worth it to me. I'll wait till the slim model comes out.

Swapped the console and the second one is even worse, but isn't making horrendous noises when installing a game!

I kicked off to Microsoft again and they asked for the store info and for pictures and said they will set up an investigation. irked

The word compensation was mentioned though so we'll see.

Is there much point in upgrading as I hear you only really get a bigger/faster HDD and the new Elite Controller. Nothing internal has changed and still doesn't support 4K. So just keep my Day One Edition and buy a USB 3 HD and an Elite Controller (will be cheaper later on surely).

I suppose it depends on your situation really, I had a really creaky day one controller and the disc drive has already been replaced under warranty and was still noisy.

I was after a Elite controller anyway and trading in my day one with halo and using game credits I already had I only paid £90 in cash.

So far the hard drive load time doesn't really seem any different, the controller is cool though. Just going to take some getting used to.
