What happened to May, June, July, August and September, is that when you were resting your case!
Hi Rob
I have heard tell that some people SORN their TVR at the end of September and keep it locked away until the beginning of May. I just cannot fathom a reason for doing this.

I thought I would show them what they are missing.
( Admittedly it's a bit grotty today, but there are so many lovely days to look forward to and enjoy between now and May.)

My only concession to winter is winter tyres which will be going on very soon, not that we've had much snow in the Midlands in the last few years.

Shamefully I'm in the SORN category, but not weather related. There's a lot of work required to get it through MOT and I just don't have the time to do it. It's done less than 100 miles in the last 12 months !
I either need to accept I need to pay someone to sort it out or think about selling it. Can't believe I've just written that. Jeez.

DON'T SELL...mine was SORN in 2011 for a body off restoration of the chassis. Due to time & financial restrictions I'm still working on it 4 years later...I am slowly getting there and I know how big my smile will be when the S is back on the road

Cheers

Good to hear you're in it for the long haul Jaye. I've completely lost my motivation. I had 'the chat' with the missus/my accountant last night but the purse strings need to stay tight so I'll need to do most of it myself if I'm going to keep it and get it back on the road.DON'T SELL...mine was SORN in 2011 for a body off restoration of the chassis. I'll need to get down to a local club meeting or something to try and re-ignite things. After long hours at work & a lot of travel, getting into the garage is a step too far these dark nights.

I must admit it's been a struggle at times - no spare cash, etc... I spent over a year doing nothing to it at all I'll need to get down to a local club meeting or something to try and re-ignite things. After long hours at work & a lot of travel, getting into the garage is a step too far these dark nights.
My overriding thought was that whilst it was in bits and SORN - there was no running cost (tax, petrol, insurance etc) so it wasn't costing me anything to leave it alone. I must admit though now there's light at the end of the tunnel any shortness of cash can become frustrating
Cheers

keep going no matter how long ...... specially since it isn't costing. My 18month build took 4 1/2 years partly due to at least a year of inactivity and lost motivation. Finally on the road this May and had a GREAT time going to Spa within 6 days!! 900 mile of (almost) no problems - although had a few in the last couple of months.
