Trigger wheels do the megajolt kit for the RV8 with a toothed wheel on the end pully. Not that Id recommend it- A friend fitted one to his G33 with the 14CUX, and never got it to run right. Likewise I never got the Amethyst to work. Mark Adams used the Omex system, but its silly money. If you just want to get the maximum advance for the engine, just file the advance weights stops on the stock dizzy. I dont think you gain much going mapped and retaining the 14CUX.

What Blitz said, and invest in a good accurate timing light. Blitz and Dave I know what you’re both saying and this will probably be the best solution for me...
I was just wondering if it was possible to make best use of crank sensors rather than adding an after market trigger wheel on the front pulley....

It seems they would be standard on later RV8 engines but I was wondering if it could be used to drive the coil packs and maybe omex…

Good point Sardonicus, I didn't think of that...
Makes you wonder, if anyone rebuilding a serp block and are looking for a lightened fly wheel should consider a lightened serp wheel instead...
But the real question is, would it still work to eliminate the need for a front after market trigger wheel on the front pulley and open the doors for better ignition management???

Yes it would but the FW is v rare and its drilled for a 10.5 inch clutch rather than 9.5 inch (no biggie) and the bugger will weigh a ton so more machining necessary Makes you wonder, if anyone rebuilding a serp block and are looking for a lightened fly wheel should consider a lightened serp wheel instead...
