Hi I've got a 1999 4.5 which I bought with the spider alloy wheels set up which I assume isn't original, doing some research I'm pretty sure that my car would of come standard with RL7's, could someone confirm this and tell me if they are still available to get hold of or would anyone be interested in a part ex?
Thanks

That's right, they would have been RL7s - 17" as standard or 18" as a cost option I believe.

They come up for sale time to time. The car drives much better with 17" RL7s compared to the 18" Spiders.

I'm in the same boat. I have the same 18" spiders on my 1997 cerb. They also rub the inside arch a little. I do know of an original set for sale brand new. PM I will let you know who has them.

Thanks for your replies. I'm very interested in those RL7's JOYCIEBOY and have emailed you. I do love the look of the spiders but something's telling me to go back to original. I'll probably regret it lol.

my 2000 came with spiders from the factory. They only rub when I put them on the wrong end of the car.

Typical, for months I've been looking to swap/ part ex my rl7 17" for a set of 18" spiders but as soon as I finally buy a set over the past few weeks an opportunity like this comes along. Oh well, never mind!!

Would you be interested in selling your RL7's if you still have them?

I am willing to sell them but not until I've put tyres on my spiders. This won't happen until after Christmas. Sorry !!

I'm in the middle of switching from Spiders to RL7's, have fitted them to the front only (two are being refurbed this week) and the car already feels a lot better.

Spiders look the part but I do t think I'll be in any hurry to swap back.

My 2000 Cerb had 18" spiders. Best thing I did was manage to swap them for a set of 18" SP12s.

Chib glad to see you finally got your dream wheels mate wink

I seriously thought about SP12's and I note the weight saving. However, I don't personally think they suit the Cerb and I'm not alone in that respect.

Jez for me I must be the only one in the world that thinks the SP12s are the best looking wheels on a Cerb. (Well if it's a silver Cerb, with anthracite wheels... And some red 6pot calipers behind them). Jokes a side the drive was improved. Perhaps it was placebo effect, but more confidence given to me. Not that the spiders were bad but they have made great... Greater. Personal preference and choice is all that matters mate so go with what you really want (but maybe take looks and drive quality into account together)

I have no complaints with the spiders on my car, no rubbing at all and rides not to bad considering the profile of the tyres. I just think as the car gets older it makes sense to put it back to original (just my preference ) but i do love the look of the spiders.
18 inch RL7s are what I'd want but by the sounds of things thats not going to happen. Super rare!! frown

Don't give up on the 18" RL7s, it took me ages to get a set but they are out there. They're the best looking wheels on a Cerbera. http://m.youtube.com/watch?v=_tyh5MIDJhU
