Why did I ever look in this forum!!

Mmmmm.....

I have been an avid Pistonheads reader and contributor for several years now; it has cost me a lot in cars and all things automotive.

I used to be a very keen Photographer and studied it to 'A' level at school, but the passion has died in the last 15 years until that is last week, when I noticed that Pistonheads had a Photography section.

1 week later I'm about £1000 down and the proud owner of a Nikon D70 18-70 Kit a new 2 GB Lexar compact flash card and I'm contemplating getting an SB800


I just hope the Wife does not read this, I have told her the camera was ~about £500 ish She is not normally the Hen pecking type but is expecting our first child in 6 weeks. My excuse is I will be able to take great shots of the Baby!!!

So another D70 user joins the fold, I must admit I'm amazed by the quality of the photos posted on this site, (One of my fav's is GetCarter, Stunning)
I feel inspired, if I do take anything I think is worthy I will be sure to post it, but don't expect anything for a while.

Anyway I'm glad I have found this Pistonheads sub club, not so sure my wallet is though!!!!

I used to live in the TVR Griffith forum but after a while it gets repetitive. This place is much more fun.

Top post Gibbo! I too never dared enter! Then one day I drifted in and WHAM A new D70, x2 new lenses and a whole load of other stuff.

And as for Getcarter? I hope the word "Quality" does his work justice? He really is inspiring (sp?)

ah, but then there are some of us who have been here since the day the Photography forum opened, haven't got that much better at taking pictures which appeal to the "pro's" and still resist buying a dSLR or even an SLR
