Does anyone else find the seats in the Vantage uncomfortable after a few hours? I've tried to adjust it a few times but no matter what I do my lower back really aches if I've been driving for over an hour.
I was thinking of doing a few roads trips to Wales and Scotland but the seats are really putting me off.

I ended up having to sell my V12V for this very reason. My wife said her back hurt when in the passenger seat and that ruined the experience for both of us and just like you would be painful after about and hour. Seems some people have no issues whilst others are hugely uncomfortable. At 6' I have a long back and relatively short legs, wonder if proportions make a difference?
After 5.5 years had to sell my baby because of it. Although it was a symptom, not the cause. It stopped being fun and was down to less than 2k miles in a year. Not sure if being a manual exacerbated the situation. Motorbike is fine which is surprising and the Range Rover is like the most comfortable sofa ever.

Had the same issue with sports seats in my V8VS. Hour and a half at best.
No issues whatsoever in my current lightweight seats.
I've sat in a lightweight seat and it was instantly more comfortable, never done any mileage in one though...No issues whatsoever in my current lightweight seats.

Same here, since hip replacement in 2009, been down to a few k miles a year in the Vantage, do twice as much on motorbikes and 3x the mileage in a Range RoverI just cant seem to get the back angle correct and have been experimenting for years with it. Original seats, perhaps they improved later on. I will find out if I get around to upgrading in the next year or two

Glad it's not just me then.
I googled the lightweight seats, I couldn't see any prices but it's bound to be silly money! In all honestly they pretty much look like Recaro Pole Positions anyway.
How much would the standard seats likely fetch if I were to sell them?

They are pole positions but the issue is the subframe

Will have to stick to sorts bikes as weight is through the wrists and arms. Especially as I've now got enough mobility back to get into one piece leathers.
But as you say, can't beat Range Rover seats.
You might want to speak to Markv8v as I know he's replaced his.....I've seen his new " pughes" & they look lovely amongst the subtle improvements he's made to the interior

& apparently you can get them with a heated option & they bolt with the correct runners/mounts onto the original points in the car

Revised seats were one of the reasons I bought a 2007.
I have a couple of bad discs in my back (no discs at the bottom really) and I find the seats fine. Have done 56k miles in the car including a few weeks round Spain and Portugal and other road trips.
It did take me a long time to find the right seat position. Initially to stop me looking at the header rail but then due to long distance comfort. I'm 6'4" and long of inside leg. Am also a larger athlete. I find that, counter intuitively, the seat needs to come forward an inch or two to allow the base to be inclined (down at the back) and the seat back to be inclined enough. I then mucked about with the 2x lumbar supports.
Memory seats are essential as finding the sweet spot again is a nightmare.
I also find that seat heating helps on particularly cold days. But that applies universally. Long gone are the days when I am prepared to use my Caterham 7 in winter for a 3hr drive Up North
Oh, and I have the wheel pulled out as far as it will go and set to see the instruments fully.
