Whip lash maybe concussion?

I was involved in a relatively low speed head on car accident approx one month ago,I was the front seat passenger at the time.
Initially I was diagnosed with whip lash,no great surprise,I experienced predictable symptoms such as pain/discomfort in neck and back together with a constant bad head ache and blurred vision.
My doctor prescribed pain killers that I stopped taking after a few days because I wanted to see where I was up to with pain to judge my recovery and I was feeling spaced out/detached for want of a better description.
Three weeks after the accident I'm still experiencing some discomfort but more worryingly total fatigue.
I'm really struggling to do any exercise at all,work is destroying me,I'm literally falling asleep as soon as in get home,my vision isn't as good as normal either which I figured is a result of being dog tired.
I've been back to my GP who says it sounds like post concussion syndrome.
Any advice or words of wisdom?

I have the same symptoms after a crash into the barriers at Rockingham, its been two weeks and I have the same total fatigue.
I'm wondering how long it took to go away as I see you posted in 2015.

I've concussed myself twice (motorcycle and mountain bike accidents), it can take ages to recover, first one was at least 12 months, symptoms were fatigue, loss of concentration, vision issues and. Nausea.
Do some googling there's lots of info out there.

I received a whiplash injury when a car rear ended my Daimler V8250 with enough force to
shunt it 12 feet forward against the brakes (and burst the fuel tank).

Having no headrest, I briefly saw the headlining directly above me.

The neck/upper back pain lasted a good 6 months. With head restraints
you should be better off than I was.
