Rotisserie chicken - possible to make at home?
Discussion
Rotisserie cooked chicken is definitely nice but cannot be replicated in an oven. However, if you get your chicken and cover it with whatever you like as a baste (I just coat it with S & P, olive oil and maybe a sprinkling of mixed herbes) then pop it into a roasting bag for the allotted time. The chicken will be perfectly cooked, very moist and you will be as chuffed as punch!
Enjoy.
Enjoy.
You could try a chicken brick. I tried it, and it was pretty juicy I have to say. You just have to make sure you soak it for 15 mins first, or it will crack in the oven. How much are the sainsburys ones though, buying a chicken is usually about the same price as the rotisserie though isn't it?

beer can chicken on the bbq , hard to beat . Don't dare say it's too cold to cook outside . The upside down trick also works .

Beer can chicken is just a BBQ gimmick to impress, It does nothing for flavour or tenderness.
If you want incredibly tender meat then wet brine then air dry in the fridge for a few hours to dry the skin back out. Be careful not to wet brine too long otherwise the meat will end up mushy and salty.
