Wind noise / water leak.........

I have a water leak that turns to a wind noise above 70 mph, it come through the seal betwen the A pillar and the metal window frame.

The problem is the seal doesn't make a proper contact half way down the metal window frame, but it makes a good seal at the top and bottom. so it cant be bent because the glass runs up and down properly in the frame.


Is there a way to "fatten up" the seal half way down the A pillar (windscreen frame) so it makes a propper contact with the frame all the way down ?

It only needs to be done for about 5 - 10cm in the middle.

Its a 1994 Chimaera, but i guess it would be the same for a griff too.

Any sujestions ?

have you tried removing the seal,inserting a length of cable underneath the affected area,then re-applying?you can try experimenting with different cable thicknesses until you find what works best.
