I was stunned by the sadness I felt upon seeing the sold sign in the windscreen this morning. Sat in her only last time, and she was gone later in the afternoon when I returned

It was really gutting, kinda sheds light on all the "almost cried watching her drive off" posts Ive read over the months

Its like your dog dying. Not just an ordinary dog, but a dog you put on the rolling road, spent hours polishing, cleaning, and upgrading

Gonna find the owner, drag him to the S forum, and will hopefully keep in touch

How could you have done it? Heartless b@rstwered, it would have been like watching a Lassie movie where her owner turns the gun on her. After all it did for you, and you betrayed it with that yellow floosie, tut, tut.

You know why I did it I was a little suprised at how emotional I felt upon finding out it was sold Amazing how strong emotional bonds are, between a man and his motor.

I remember reading about shnozz, pod, some others posting about how emotional they became upon parting. Shnozz had to go inside, simply couldnt bear to watch it being driven away, was borderline tears (might have got names wrong?)

Onwards and 'upwards' really enjoying the cerb tho Going to top gear tomorrow and praying Jeremy will find 2 minutes to jump in the cerb for a photo, and make my decade!!

Half the fun of going is just seeing how it all works, maybe meeting the presenters etc. In between shoots, you get the star-struck "wanna say hi" folk, autograph chasers, photocall couples. What I really wanted was a photo of JC with my car, and I managed to wangle it

And yes-really, he didnt know how to get into the cerb!

How I got tickets Oldred... if I told you Id land a married supermodel in deep s4it!

A newbie making first contact.
I was looking at the 3000S but then came across this 1991 Cooper Green V8S and the looks, the sound, the drive - love at first sight. I thought I was the only one with a big grin on my face until I browsed the pistonheads forum. Waiting for TVRCC membership to come through.
I am sure you're enjoying the Cerbera

So you bought my V8S!

Well chuffed you are here, you have no idea how upset I was when I saw the sold sign, almost had a tear in my eye.

You'll have to come to our next meet, we've been having them in and around eastbourne, plenty more on the cards, where in Sussex are you mate?

Hi Giles

Welcome aboard the "S"lark, glad you've found PH as Rob may now stop his bawling

You have a very very nice V8S there despite the previous owner having the outward appearance of being slightly mad

Dave...
Be nice to meet up with you and all the other folks sometime, I met up with Tim the other week and had a good day with him, unfortunately my car was down the workshop having the exhaust made so he missed seeing mine. I guess also that I want to get my car looking great first but after 3 years of ownership I have not got too far with the cosmetics.

Lots of reasons why I haven't done many of the cosmetic bits ....mainly time and money taken up by the house purchase and work needing to be done there.

Still, Rome wasn't built in a day and I can still enjoy the car, it has no majpr faults or work required and it's more important that I have the car and enjoy it and get around to doing all the things I want to do in the fullness of time.

Hi Rob,

No criticism intended there!

Your posts always make me chuckle

I saw you got flamed in one yesterday (questioning identities and IP address), didn't sound like you at all. Were you having a crap day?

I saved your photo of JC with your new P&J, that's a great one to have in the album, have you any with yourself and the TG boys? Must post it up if you have ....pweeeeese!

Chow for now

Giles welcome aboard, you will find the guys on here a great bunch mad but great I'm glad the Car went to a good home by all accounts it was too much of a handful for the previous owner who wanted something a bit softer and more in keeping with his job as a mobile hairdresser.
