The gearbox in my 997 has gone from annoying to obviously fked in the last week or two. I think the syncho for 1st and 2nd is dying. It is, or at least should be, warranty work.

Any experience of relatively big warranty work with OPCs that are reasonably near London?

Any suggestions for other things to get done while the car is in bits anyway? 997.2 S with 50k miles.

east london - Neil sutton has been great with flaking paint on my cgts and an annoying rattle.
Way better than other OPCs I won't name.

I bought my car from Brooklands and liked the place a fair bit. Two problems, though: (1) I had a stand-up row with them last time I was there and (2) the drive to Brooklands from West London (and back, obviously) is seriously unpleasant and can take hours of sitting in traffic.

Number (2) explains (1). I was in a foul mood when I last went there and lost my temper at only moderate stupidity / rudeness. I've since apologised but can't be bothered with the awkwardness!

Good shout re the clutch - I had that in mind when I asked.

It wasn't my finest hour. You know that feeling when you are watching yourself even as you are being a tit and thinking 'What a tit!'...
