New car tax

I just bought an untaxed car, it has MOT and V5, but my insurance is from my last car and has not beenn cancelled. I will change renew the taxation though and the class of vehicle is the same, but the engine is 100cc smaller. Do I need a new insurance cover note, or does the fact that I am insured mean I don't have to?

Yes, You need to inform your insurer of any change of vehicle, usually by phone will do.
