WARRANTY 3 years or 2. Please explaine

Could some one clarify on a Porsche is there a 3 year no quibble cover from new or 2 years.
Problem is I booked cayenne into stealers today for a gearbox clonk, that was supposed to be fixed at its last visit when it was just at the 2 year period.
Never fixed issue so I finally get booked in and request a technican to road test it with me, sure as anything he says transfer box issue needs a new one.
Service guy comes out tells me would you like a price sir.
I say no thanks it's under warranty.
No sir there is only a 2 year warranty.
And sorry to tell you when it was booked in before we could not reproduce faul so we did a 4x4 recall instead. .
Thing is every OP stealer I have spoken with tells me all Porsches are sold with 3 year warranty.
I doubt you could sell a new car without one nowadays.
28000 mile 4.2s 2 years old car, with a manufactures fault in the transfer box that appears not to be covered by a 3 year warranty. Fix the thing a cool £3000 plus.
Anyone got any experience of warranty suddenly slashed by a third.
