Upset the Griff, I think

Just change the two main fuses on the Griff, the one by the battery and the one by the alternator.
I disconnected the negative terminal on the battery while doing this.
After I had finished I went to connect the battery terminal and the alarm kept going off (two distinct different alarm sounds), the alarm was still sounding while the battery was diconnected.
I managed to connect the battery and all seems fine.
When I turned off the ignition after a little drive, there was a beeping sound inside the car, four beeps iirc.
This is different than before, I'm sure it used to make a beeping sound on switching the engine off, but one beep, not four like this. The sounds were definitely different.
Have I cocked something up? I suppose a little knowledge is a bad thing.

It sounds like you have a pi55ed off alarm, or possibly two. I would guess you need to reset it/them somehow, do you know what make/type of alarm you have, did it come with any destructions?

Had a similar thing happen on mine too, so I disconnected the battery entirely and re-connected after a few minutes. This had the effect of re-setting the alarm/imobbi and cured the problem.

The alarm seems to be working OK. I don't know though as I haven't tested it. The fob works OK and the immobilser still times out, so hopefully everything's OK.
Why does disconnecting the battery affect the alarm (more like re-connecting) and has it it's own power supply, because it was making a racket while the battery was disconnected.
