I just had a cursory chance at the standings to see if first place in this championship would still be up in the air if we had double points at Abu Dhabi hehe

As it happens, it wouldn't. However, the battle for 2nd / 3rd at least would still be going, and a lot more besides!

Come back souble points, all is forgiven whistle

I'm with you. However if they had a system where you could pick a race and played your joker to get double points then I'd wouldn't be exactly against that.

Cancelled F1 package this morning after the last two races. Might see if I can catch dubai on a hooky stream.

Don't think I'll bother next year.

Merc 1-2 with vettel 3rd then the 2 Williams with kimi either right behind or split the pair. Bottom of the top 10 will be a mix of red bull/torro rosso/ and one of the force India's.
Lotus/saulber/force India's out of the points McLaren not to finish and manor at the back.

Whatever one of the merc to end up being first at the end of the first lap will win the race. Suspect page counts on this thread to be well under 20 with about 5 of them with people arguing about Hamilton/rosberg. The other 5 pages on how st f1 is 1 page of how st McLaren are and about 4 pages during the race.

Unless something really out of the ordinary happens, this is going to be a snore fest.

Its pretty depressing really.

Rosberg was comfortably on pole here last year, and given his recent form I'd wager the same again this year.

The race will likely yield another yawning ROS-HAM-VET result.

They were vacuuming the track, painting the marina hand rails and parts of the outside of the Viceroy Hotel (the one that goes over the track) last weekend.

I was staying in a room that overlooked part of the track (dread to think what the room would cost next weekend, I only paid ~GBP 120 per night last weekend), which gave a reasonable view).
