Well after living with a Hiatal Hernia for years it appears that the effectiveness of the drugs Ive been taking are starting to wear off. So following another session with a camera it looks like the way foward is surgery. Having looked online there are a fair few success stories, but also a fair few horror stories about not being able to eat solid food again (ever!).

Has anyone had this done, and did it work out ok. What was the recovery period like and are let me know that your not being fed through a straw!???

I would say Im mildly concerned.

He was in hospital overnight and off work for a couple of weeks

He's now stopped his tablets, doesnt get indigestion and wishes he had it years ago

Dad had his operated on this year, he'd had it for years. Keyhole surgury, was out the same day. Being in his 70's he's retired now so no work to go back to, but he was cycling within a week.
