Where can I buy good pate?

I was at a hotel yesterday and had some wonderful homemade pate.

I like pate and only seem to be able to get nice pate in hotels and restaurants. I have made my own but would rather just buy it.

Anyone know where I could get some? Ideally a nice smooth buttery one.

My nearest deli is probably in Glasgow, three and a half hours away.

That was the basis of my question really, there are pates in shops and supermarkets, sometimes lots, but never any of the better tasty kind.

The trade versions come in simpler packaging and a more uniform shape for portioning. If you portion and freeze on silicon paper they then vacpac without falling apart. Keep them frozen like that and you can have an infinite supply of frozen portions that defrost in luke warm water in a couple of minutes.

Instant pate whenever the urge arises!
