This guy sounds remarkably like the one with the dog and the maple bacon sandwich... but anyway, apparently you don't need an ND filter to take long exposures in daylight...

'Multiple exposure mode single photo auto gain on' says the man... nope, not seeing that anywhere. Never mind, even if it was, by the time I'd found it (and then refound it afterwards to switch it off)(assuming I remembered it was on) - I could have held a bit of grey glass over the front...

Do you use this technique Rob?

Is this a jpg thing?

Or does it need a lot of blending in photoshop? Of the bits that move.

Like the water. The clouds.

The trees if the wind is blowing ....

People and animals ....

Surely there is a PS action that would give pretty much the same result from a single file? But then, where's the video in that?

Nope don't do that...

Josh is a great photographer knows his stuff.

I've seen this technique used in post to stack images, and I pretty much use it for star trails but not in camera.

Not sure about the Sony but the 6d can do it but only produces a jpg

I think the advantage of this is that you just press the button and the camera mashes it all together. It won't suit everyone or every situation, but would probably do roughly what an ND filter with - but with software instead of hardware.

If your gear can do it, and you forgot your ND10 then worth a shot
