I need a new set of winter wheels for my B7 RS4; it currently has the standard 19s on it (I think 19x9 et29 with 255/35/19s). I'm looking at also replacing with 19s, as I understand that it's unpredictable whether some 18s will fit over the front brakes, and just need a simple solution.

Can anyone tell me whether either of these wheel fitments (from other Audis) will also fit the RS4, please?

1. 8Jx19 ET 45 (from an A4/S4)
2. 8,5 J x 19 ET 42 and 11J x 19 ET 50 (from an R8 - I'm guessing the rears will be too wide?)

Neither will fit, RS4 needs 5x112 - 9J - ET29 - 57.1 centre bore, so the offsets on those are way out and 11j are likely to rub the wheelarch or liner or shocks or all three...

Have a set of genuine BBS LMs that may fit.

To compare wheel sizes use this website. It doesn't take into account the size of the brakes though:

I bought my winter wheels (for an Audi A5) off a chap who swapped his car for a S5 and they didn't fit.

Can't really help as the detail of what I bought isn't up any more, but I got a full set of original RS4 winter wheels and tyres for 800 Euros from an ebay seller in Germany. They've been fine. Worth having a mooch round.

At the time there was more of a selection of winter tyres for 18" wheels. Might be different now.

Took a B6 S4 in part exchange with standard Avus 18s and B7 front brakes, they cleared fine but might look a bit silly under RS4 arches.
