Are the Flying Fortress gatherings on the last Sunday of the month? If so, is there one this month?

Oh, and I think we need a catchier name than the xth PHer gathering of 2005!

My suggestion is Tractor & Pie, but I'm sure someone will think of something better

It has been planned to have an EAPHer gathering at The Flying Fortress on the last Sunday of each month as long as it gets enough support but EAPHer events such as Helmingham Hall or Rougham will take precedence if the dates co-incide. Reminders will be put up on here in any case so keep your eyes peeled!

I`ll bring the pie if you bring the tractor

The 'February Meet' works for me
Have you had any luck getting the FF to be more flexible with table arrangements Ian?

I haven`t been in touch with TFF about tables. In hindsight, we could have eaten together in any case as everyone did infact eat something! Once the weather improves, we`ll all be outside

The folk in the FF are nice but dim...after waiting ages to get a table in the wrong room I felt I may rename it the FFF!

The food at Snetterton isn't that bad, oh and it just so happens there is a trackday there on the 28th.

I would,nt mind a meet on the North Norfolk coast one day. Not during the holiday season though, but perhaps late spring or early autumn.

I could make a day of it or even a weekend.

There are some good places along there and some big car parks!

Just a thought, although I realise it's a long way for a lot of PHers.

Actually there are quite alot of us in this region anyway Gary

Amongst many others, there`s "Griffophenia" (TVR Griff)and "Tuxman/Hornie" (Ultima Can-am) to the west with me (TVR Chim), "Beef" (TVR Chim), "Neilmac" (TVR Griff), "kees" (TVR Chim) and "FunkyNige" (?) in the centre with "NickP" (TVR Chim)and "Daxtogeiro" (Dax Cobra) to the east (apologies to those I haven`t mentioned)

There are, as you say many lovely coastal haunts for us to visit but the North Norfolk coastal road itself would be a bit of a nightmare for your Ultima as it can be quite bumpy and narrow in places fortunately places like Hunstanton, Wells and Holt etc have alternative decent roads so if you have any suggestions, put a thread on here and let`s see what we can do

The Southerners can come north for a change

How about fixing this up after an FF meet? Then the southerners are halfway there already...?
Ian, pick a month

That's unless I can persuade mum or bro to take one of their Spits.

A drive along the coast road would need to be fairly soon before all the tourists get here, but probably not this month as the last Sunday is Easter Sunday.

That's a tough one Ian

I love Holt, but parking around there can be a nightmare even out of season. The car park at the back of the supermarket is normally always full, unless you now somewhere nearby?
Same goes for Wells. I don't think I fancy parking right on the quay. That's hairy in my sensible car!

You are right about the roads in Norfolk, although the coast road is pretty good.

Cromer could be a possible. The huge grass car park above the beach is never full, even in high season.

Sheringham has a big car park near the station. there's normally a lot of space in there.
Also plenty of parking around Sheringham woods and Pretty Corner.

How about Holkam Hall? If not in the grounds then the road opposite leading to the beach. That is one big car park, although there may be some small speed bumps there, not sure. It's also £3 a shot.

If none of those appeal how about a nice coastal pub with a large car park?
(Afraid I don't know any though)

Tough choice. Glad it's not me who's got to make the decision

Plenty of time for you to make up your mind Gary

There`s always good old Hunstanton of course (great car park by the light house) and the A149 is good up to that point and then deteriorates as it winds along the North coast. Holkham Hall is a good choice and I`m sure there is a large pub near the entrance. Cromer could be worth a shot and of course there is a good road for that one

It would be nice to do this so thinking caps on ok
