Seals (arf arf), carpets and an angel

Apologies for this rather novice question

I am trying to find out where i can purchase new door seals, new boot seals and where i can purchase a new carpet from.

Can anybody help??

driving the chim with the roof off sure clears the hangover

Word of caution on buying carpets from Coverdale.

I bought some for my Chimaera. With it comes a piece of paper telling you the set comprises 26 pieces which I set out on the floor and counted.

When I fitted the carpets a month or two later I found there were no pieces for the doors so called the company who informed me that that they didn't include these as the sizes vary dependant upon the year of the car(?).

I asked for the pieces in my colour and was told they didn't stock it any more

Several worrying hours later they called back to say they'd found some offcuts that would fit.

Why they didn't tell me the doors weren't included in the first place I don't know.

No worries, refit door with alcantara a la modern TVRs - looks much nicer!

I need new floor carpets. How close a match to the original colour are they?

Do you think I would have to get a complete set or just get away with the ones I need, because they're under your feet anyway?

Do you mean new carpets or new floor mats.. the latter can/could be bought from TVR dealers at a reasonable price.

I'm very happy with it although as Kieran says alcantara is also an option. Wish I'd thought of it sooner but hey ho, I still think the carpet looks a lot better than the original which had rotted out. I tried to post some before and after pictures but no joy, how the hell do you load pictures on here if they're not already hosted somewhere?

It took longer than I'd expected but I'm a bit of a faffer without any patience so there was much wandering off and drinking coffee. Little jobs like fitting the roof to which the so-called captive bolts weren't didn't help either.

Despite mercilessly taking the piss out of me throughout the job both a mechanic and professional valet-type person made some very complimentary comments when I'd done so I reckon it was all worth it.

Very pleased to hear it it gives me some encouragement for later on this spring.

Regarding the alacantra, I've got this in the doors of my current chim however had the carpet inside the last one. When I retrim mine I'll be planning on putting the carpet back on the door insides instead as I much prefered it to the rather "stark"/cold feel of the current alacantra.

Surprised to hear that Matt, but each to their own! I really like the 'suede' feel of the Alcantara, and think it looks tons better than carpet in the door - guess it's not for eveyone.

Paul - we'll have to meet up soon - fancy a nose at the new interior.

I meant the floor mats. The backing has completely gone on the drivers mat and the whole mat slips toward the pedals.

Anyone know how much dealers charge for them?
