Correct Colour Code?

Morning, My Chimaera is British Racing Green. As i am having some work done to get her in shape! -. I have been told that the colour is actually ''ASTON MARTIN GREEN'' Does anyone know the code, or more details on this colour so I can get an exact match, any comments appreciated- Again- many thanks in advance- Paul

The code should be on your chassis plate or hand written in the car's filofax service book. I am sure that Aston Martin will have used a number of different "Racing Greens" over the years.

I have the same colour and was told it was an Aston colour. Bought British Racing Green Rover colour from local motor factor and it was perfect match although make sure you get metallic version as I believe there are two types

Duplicolour code is Austin Rover Brit Racing Green Met (2 stage) use clear laquer C101. CBM147 4131

I too had a British Racing Green TVR... Went to a paint factors and he said which one? Turns out there are over 30 different BRGs shades so go by the paint/body code.

Also ask what paint colur the code is. I know someone that ordered a red touch up and received green because the car had been resprayed and the paint code referrred to the original green colour. This and other humourous paint anecdotes int' bible

SHPUB, thanks for that- that is a problem i have because the original colour of the car was white, so i cant refer to colour code on car etc-

I guess you don't have the details of whoever did the respray then ? (receipt??)

Paper work just has the colour no more specific details on there,,

I would go for a paint match. I would not trust paint names.
