That time is here again! The Autumn/black Friday sale runs from 25th November, ending at 6:00PM GMT on the 1st December.

Steam is now handling it's sales slightly differently, with no flash or daily deals. Instead games will be for sale at their lowest throughout the whole period.

If you see a game cheap, buy it, no more waiting to see if it goes cheaper. Whether that means developers will keep prices higher and not go stupidly low that remains to be seen, but hopefully things are still discounted enough to make it worth it.

So what is there of interest?

GTA V at £25 is quite a good catch if you don't have it. Be wary of the download size though (64GB-ish).

Rocket League is at £10.49 for some car football. I think I will be getting this.

Mad Max got fairly good reviews and is only £17.49 (50% off)

Project Cars (£19.99, 50% off), Dirt Rally (£24.74, 25% off) and Assetto Corsa (£17.49, 50% off) are all good racing game deals especially if you don't have one of them yet.

No discount on Fallout 4, but FO3 and FNV are both £5.09 for their ultimate/GOTY editions including all DLC - A steal at that price.

While not Steam there is a Codemasters Humble Bundle the next week or so: https://www.humblebundle.com/ The second tier looks a good choice; $5.52/£3.65 for Grid 2, Dirt Showdown, Grid Autosport and 6 (!) other games including some DLC.

No doubt there are other games I have overlooked, but that is just what I have seen so far. With the prices staying the same I will be having a long look and waiting a bit before buying anything this time around. The Winter sales are likely to be December 22nd - January 4th from reports, but the prices may not be hugely different to what we are seeing now due to the new sales tactics.

Enjoy!

Consistent price throughout the sale helps a bit, remember to check something like https://steamdb.info for price history and shop around elsewhere.
