After a troubled time with the S and the engine problems, i have been offered a granada 24v cosworth.

I know a few of you on here have one installed, what kind of a job might i be undertaking?

can someone post or mail pics to me or on this post?

Another alternative would be to fit a 2.9 (2.8's seem rarer than i thought). What kind of job would this be?

I suggested a Cosworth and I was put off the idea because the extra power could twist the Chassis, apparantly the S4 and the V8S are stronger and wider track chassis.
The other problem is the wiring loom which has to be replaced.

I suggest you drop Pies a Mail and ask about the 2.9, i can't believe it would be as much trouble to fit as the Cossie.

they are all too far away for the collection and it would cost more than the lump for carriage

I Doubt if the extra power will twist the chassis. My bother has been running his for a while an the chassis seams very tight when you floor it. At the end of the day it is imposable to enough traction to do that. Even at Santa Pod with sticky tyres. (believe me I've been there). The 2.8 is not worth the conversion. If you fancy an easy conversion Buy a 2.9 twin turbo sierra. it will bolt right in. then plum in the loom. it will be easier to fit than the Cosworth.

Was this a standard or special?
