Just finished my GTR and almost immideatly started having wiring problems. Lost the signal lights, high beams, starter, and radiator fans. Using the wiring diagram I bought from Jack Rosen I was able to trace the problem to a faultiy ground wire on the relay bank.

There are several relays that have a common power feed and the power jumps from one to the next and on. The same happens for the ground. The main ground wire had pulled out of the connector so none of the relays would work. Just a point that may help if someone else runs into a similar problem.

I would like to express thanks to Jack Rosen, I would have been looking for a long time if it had not been for his exceptionally nice diagram. Highly recommend getting it! A real bargain!

Absolutely agree. Jack's schematic should be standard equipment. It is well done and indespensible.

In my long involvement in kitcars it is plain to me the one thing puting most would-be builders off is the thought of trying to wire the damn thing.

Why then is the factory so unwilling to offer a diagram for the loom they sell?

This has to be the main thing that annoyed me during my build. I can not have been the first to fit things like Stack dash, master cutoff switch, alarm/imobiliser, radio, etc. etc. I had to work my way through trying to fathom where it all connected. The handbook does not even tell you what each fuse and relay does.

Rant mode off.
