I prefer Windows Media Player so all my videos are saved as this.

I've just installed Camedia software which required me to also install Quicktime.

No problem.

What is a problem though is that all my saved videos have turned to Quicktime.

How do I turn all the icons back to Windows Media ?

Open windows explorer

Select Tools>Options

In the file associations tab find the extensions you want. MPG, AVI etc etc and change the program used to open them from Real back to Windows Media Player

There may also be an associations section in media player options that will do the same thing.

To do it from inside WMP right click the player, select options and then click the file types tab.

Recheck the boxes of the files you want to associate with WMP.

Job done.
