From memory, you have 2 screws at the top of the light to undo, disconnect the electrics but there is a third screw behind the bumper. Obviously you'll need to remove the bumper (think this has been covered on here before, but it's very easy) and then headlight removal can be done from there.
Bumper off there are a series of screws and plastic tabs in the wheels arches then is its all straight forward from there , only addition put some soft in front of the car before you start so you don't scratch any thing , is it rust proofing moisture or old looking lens, if it's water I did a post of FAQ how to get it out but it's worth undersealing if you take the bumper off

Air box in the way too
Easier to remove the air-box than the bumper bar. Undo the hose clamp on the side of the air-box to the MAF pipe, or even undo both ends of the MAF pipe. The other end is connected to the throttle body.
Clean the inside of the throttle body whilst you are there!
The Airbox is held on with rubber grommets. If you pull upwards on the air-box they will come loose. Maybe easier to take the lid of the air-box first and the air filter so you can see inside. There is a duct in front of the air-box, that will come out too, it just sits there.
Change the light-bulbs then put it all back together. Care needs to be taken when positioning the duct in front of the air-box. Where it sits on the chassis rail, make sure it doesn't disconnect any of the wires down there especially the ABS wire (white connector?)

On the 04 cv8 it's just moving the battery on mine , the other side I had no issues fitting it , I don't think I had to disconnect the battery just move it , I'm assuming a bulb upgrade or just blown bulb
Going to put Osram night breakers in and led indicator bulbs I miss the HID's of my Omega would love to change them to HID's but too much involved ie: water jets vxkev said:

HIDs not that difficult to install and you don't need the washer jets - the requirement at the moment is that if you do have them then they must work. VinceM said:

So have you done it to yours then and is there any that are good to buy as there are pleanty of crap aftermarket HID's out there.VinceM said:
Yes, I have them on mine, got them from HIDs direct iirc. I got 4300k - others on here will be able to advise what colur can be done legally around that number, I'm no expert.
Just looked on there and it seems they don't do them for mine is it possible you can find out what part numbers yours are please
