I don't mean the latest form of late night car park entertainment, rather where are you all getting your turkeys, and how are you cooking them?

I'm grabbing one from a local farm, and going to have a crack at smoking it on the Weber.

Local butcher, along with a small chicken. I'll get a supermarket duck though. Love a bit of Turducken. Did a Pheaturducken a couple of years ago but there's only 4 of us for Christmas this year so I'm already going to have way to much meat.

I ended up freezing half of it last year, and then making some lovely pies a few weeks later. Unfortunately our second freezer packed up a while back so we might not have enough space.

A bronze turkey and two turkey breasts stuffed rolls for smaller occasions after Christmas. All from my local butcher.

I usually get a 5 kilo boneless crown. Brine it, split it and then steam or sous vide. Half goes to my Dad and we keep the other.

On the day I just bung it in for 15-20 minutes to crisp up the skin and heat it through.
