Got a hysterical card from Mrs K. On the front it says "I was going to buy you a Porsche for valentines day . . ." and then stuck on the inside is a mini screwdriver set with " . . . "but all I could afford was the tool kit"

I think I've had two in the past; both in consecutive years, from the same girl, when I was at school.

In the last five years or so I've had none, and have been single for pretty much all of that time which suits me fine for the most part, with the exception of days like today!

Well im off out to dinner tonight with a girl I have very recently met, I have a card for her, I imagine she will give me a card as well.

In the past only had Valentines cards from girlfriends, never from mysterious admirers.

I can't remember where I'm quoting this from but it goes something like...

"Good old St. Valentine. The patron saint of making single people feel like utter sh*t..."

Yep, the bastard.

Used to ignore Valentine's Day and treat it like any other to the point where I usually forgot what day it was anyway. And then you walk past a card shop and it winds you up again.

Sorry, should I get off this thread?

Not a sausage, which is hardly suprising given my present singleness.

Oh well, I'll have to wrap up the Bratwurst till next year then.

HELP! Can hardly breathe...trapped...under pile of red envelopes...typing with toe...losing consciousness due to assorted perfumes...tell them all it's the way I would have wanted to go...

True - last time I gave myself rohypnol I ended up pulling myself. Several times.

The question is, does one send an e- valentine to a girl your interested in, or does it make you look like a stalker?

Now that's cool.

I am reminded of a similar scene in American Beauty though...
