Meeting by phone....

This great time saving idea is rapidly becoming a nightmare to control.

It seems that some individuals believe that the timekeeping on these are optional...... It's a nightmare - especially when I'm on the road and have had to stop.

The same tardiness would not happen (or maybe they would) on face to face meetings.

Anyone else had these issues and got control?

You need the 5/10 rule.

If it's not started within 5 mins: hang up.
If it's not as relevant as expected within 10 mins: hang up.

I don't bother joining conf calls without an agenda if it's not 100% obvious why I've been invited.
