uneven tyre wear

Hi all not having a good week as my chimera tried killing me Last sunday. Anyway I came in contact with a slopped kerb and I seem to have buckled the wheel. On looking at the said wheel I can see the tyre is wearing funny. The tyres were nearly new when I bought her and I've done 1000 miles since. They are worn in the middle and now have a mild m profile. I'll try and add some pics. What do you guys think. Over inflation?

Sorry won't let post pics. It basically has worn the middle of tread and has more tread towards the edges.

Sounds like classic over inflation.

Fronts should only be 22psi

After what you have done, once you have sorted the buckled wheel, the best thing you can do, IMHO, is get a full four-wheel geo done. It costs £90 where I take mine (Mat Smith Sportscars at Downham Market) and the car will stop trying to kill you. Money well sent. I have never had any uneven tyre wear, in 30,000 miles.

Thanks QBee. Yes your right I think I'll get the geo done soon. The wheel isn't too bad but will try and find a good second hand one. What with Christmas and getting married I March money is tight. The car had a 12k service at tvrssw early er thus year and the geo is done then but I think the shocks are past their best being originals I believe.

To be honest it may have been lack of experience on my part as to why the back kicked out. I wasn't being silly but it was a greasy road and you can't get complacent with these cars. My bad.

It is easy to do that with any powerful rear wheel drive car this time of year, not just a TVR.
You are in good hands with Colin - ask his opinion re your shocks. No point in wasting your hard earned.

Yes I'll have to get Colin to look as I have a thumping noise over things like raised drains. The sound is like a strut bush or something of that nature. Will be after Christmas now but I think it's been there since I've owned the car since early er this year. As I say still getting g use to the power on these.
