Wiper motor park switch

How do you set the park switch on the motor

When i turn the wipers off at the stalk, they stop in the position they are turned off in?

When i fitted a new one i just turned the wipers off manually at their rough park position and fitted it.

If i leave the switch off the motor,then stop the wipers at end position,slide the switch into place on the clip,which in turn depresses the small button.

Is this meant to set the park position?

Don't recall "setting" anything when I changed mine? Old off, new on (wipers wherever they happened to be) and job done

Unfortunately,TVR life is never that simple,when stalk returned to off position,the wipers stop dead where they are

Isnt it just a cam that triggers the switch anyway so as said location isnt important?

Or try cleaning the contacts, the park switch contacts are prone to corrosion because it sits in an area under the bonnet that collects water.

I replaced my wiper park switch 12 months ago and the same problem was immediately resolved, just go on EBay and buy one for a classic Mini

Problem solved for around £10

All parts are brand new including electric connections and PARK SWITCH

When I replaced mine a while back it did the same.
In the end I also cut the plug off the loom and put a new one on as the connections to the plug and the pins/sockets were in a bad way.
From memory the plug pins (could be sockets, it was a while ago) are crimp on to the cable but I also soldered them to be sure.
It has been fine ever since which must be over eight years ago now.
