Collected an Akro Evolution Ti system today for my F13. Whilst I'd bulk at paying the retail price I'm more than happy second hand as its immaculate and like a piece of art. Can't believe how light it is either!

Will post up some pictures once it's fitted.driving

Video would be good too! I would love one for my M5 but just cannot justify the cost, ended up getting the CP exhaust and am very happy but I'm sure the Akrapovic is far better. Enjoy.

Booked in this Thursday to have it fitted. I've polished up the band clamps and coated the bolts in coppaslip etc. Tips have been polished and given a few coats of DodoJuice wax so everything looks almost new now. Can't wait as my only bug bear with the car has been the sound. If it's not aggressive enough I might add some sport cat downpipes as well but I'm conscious that I could be pushing the torque to over 1000nm with this lot which is not a good idea with the gbox clutches from what I've read.

All fitted. smile

Tick over is deeper sounding now and more representative of the power the cars got.
Standing rev gives a very deep bark which sounds technically aggressive rather than just a loud noise like an amg/jag etc.
Seems to pickup even sharper now and you can hear the turbos spooling down now which is kind of cool.
Carbon tips are soooooo much better looking than the stock pee shooters!

Happy I am, just need some warm weather to get some grip! LOL

That exhaust isn't cheap. I got quoted £5k for my M3 so I got my hubby to take it to get custom ones made up just over £1k. Here is my daily drive and got my hubs to make a video of it. I want to body wrap it 75% pink ... https://youtu.be/l2NRQofAUsQ

They are very good indeed yes and lead time is almost 3months wait but he had a 2 day slot for us so we got ours done in 2months. We used a GoPro too, make sure you leave out the advertising if you use their editing tool because my original post got pulled down because of it I think.

Hey! I was wondering where you bought your akra from and where u got it fitted?

Im in the market now to buy one and was wondering what the akra is like compared to stock?

In terms of the "thunder clap" is still there when you shift? (One of my fav things about this car personally)

Also, do you get the cool backfires on overrun when you put your foot flat down and then let go at around 5k revs? (mostly 2nd gear)

Lastly, how much louder would you say the akra is at wot and stationery revs and cold starts compared to stock?

Many Thanks,

Nick

Only my opinion, but i'd look at alternatives to the Akra as although it's a fantastic piece of kit, it would likely only offer up some aural enhancement & of course they look good as for most cars they don't offer up any power/torque uplift as are at least as restrictive as the stock exhaust & on some cars slightly more restrictive. They do look good, but £6k is a lot of spend for some noise enhancement & nice looking tailpipes.

If it's the 15kg weight advantage, other systems are available in Titanium at about 1/3rd of the cost of a Akro.

How are you getting on with this? I presume it was the same system advertised on another forum back in Oct/Nov (albeit for M5 - same system?)

If so you got a bargain!
