Can the position of the hud on the screen be moved.

I like to sit as low as possible in a car I hate to feel like I'm sat on the car rather than in it.

But I find that with the seat set up just right I can only see half of the hud and it's very annoying.

Yes, not sure which model you have but on the F10 and E60 there is a dial near the headlight switch that moves the HUD up and down.

Not my sure about the E60 but that dial near the headlights only changes the brightness, along with all the dash lights. The F10 HUD can be moved around with iDrive under settings.

In the E60 there's a dial in-between the instrument cluster and the nav screen. You need to undo 2 or 3 screws around the nav screen which then gives you access to the dial. It's set quite far back so you'll need a fairly long torx tool.

Are you sure regarding the F10? You can switch the HUD off/on from a button on the dash, but up/down & left right adjustment is from within the iDrive. Can't recall on the E60 M5 as was a long time ago when i had mine but in every car i've had my seat base is set to the lowest setting & don't recall any problems seeing the HUD.
