Doors Won't Lock Mk1 S

was all ok and driving well. parked up - locked car on fob as usual. minutes later i unlocked car, no problem. went to start it and nothing, immobiliser stayed on. used the slot thingie to de-immobolise, car started and ran ok. got home, and now the key fob won't do anything, car is left unlocked. any ideas? was thinking of dis-connecting battery tomorrow to try reset?

Check all leads and plugs are connected in the box in the drivers footwell (Right hand side behind the panel). Had similar issues with mine and one of the plugs had come loose.

Had similar happen to me. Stopped car to fill with fuel, back in & turn key, press fob button to disable immobiliser (Nothing !!! ) After 2 mins started ok then replaced fob batteries 2x CR1220. So far so good. Hope that helps. Dave

Park in garage... Then lock the door.

I might be being a bit too simplistic here, but that sounds like the battery in your key fob has died.
